Hoodoo: a tall, thin spire of rock that protrudes from the bottom of an arid drainage basin or badland.

Bryce National Park is filled with hoodoos. Here's a picture from the rim. I love this place!

The best way to view the hoodoos is to hike down into them. This was great fun!
